The CX riders must be more into the pie. Garrett took the photo of the pie I took into the infield and was trying to share. Too many folks were worried about how it would affect their racing. I say, get the priorities straight.
Thanks, Rick, for sharing the pie, and thanks to Beth for baking it. It was good, but everyone who tried it at the track only had one bite. I didn't eat more because I wasn't hungry, having just eaten lunch. I would think it would be good fuel for the racers. It's much tastier than Hammer Gel, which I won in the raffle but traded for wine.

The other pie that went to the cyclocross race lasted about 10 minutes. I think they were fighting over the last piece!
Pie is one of the four basic food groups. I forget the other three.

i think you wasted your pies on the wrong crowd.
hello?
worried about how it'll affect their racing?
head on down to golden gate park in a few weeks. there won't be any worrying over there.
in fact, you should do some pie feeds during the racing.
The pie could best be described as chocolate chip cookie dough with tons of caramel stuffed in a crust. And, I had at least 3 bites. YUM!
Trackies are weird. Bring pie to a cross race you'll feel the love. Where else would beer hand ups be cool?
