the moment you've all been waiting for...and a few others you don't care about

Jennie Reed and me. Her right quad is significantly larger than her left. Interesting. While I look quite puny next to her in general, I think that my quads aren't that shabby in comparison. At least my upper quad. My lower quad by the knee cap isn't so good. This is a helpful picture analysis.
On that note, it is time for the weekly quad measurement. And once again, I grew-- 60.5cm. That is another half centimeter. I measured 3 times, so that must be accurate. I think I could totally gain a couple more centimeters if I actually lifted weights and did those one legged press. I am so excited to lift weights and see them grow more! But that fun won't occur til later in September.

The above picture was the highlight of this post. The ones below are bonuses.

This is the beginning of the match sprint with Jennie Reed. Thanks Glen for being a great holder!
This is the beginning of the match sprint. She totally needed to keep an eye on me. (sarcastic font)

Me and Courtney "hangin'" with the Olympian.

Sprint podium. Don't be impressed by my 5th place. Only 7 people entered. But I don't turn down $20! I love my orange shoes!

This is Michiko contemplating her strategy for the Diablo hill climb. She is very smart.

This picture speaks for itself. If not, see my older post.

This was last weeks miss 'n out on Wednesday night. That is me and Katie

This is Katie kickin' some butt in the miss 'n out.

This is me in the miss 'n out. My bike is looking hot. But I look better in my black jersey for sure.

More on Wednesday night racing later-- it was very fun and I learned a ton! Now, to bed - a big day of work and points racing tomorrow.

The points races are looong on Thursday. I think good tactics are more important, and more subtle.

You can lose the race in the first third, but you probably can't win it in the first third. Consider the value of each hard effort you make. In the last third of a long C or B points race people are tired. They don't sprint as fast, and they might lose a lap. The thinking part is fun too!

OV can't be trusted because he is biased about black jerseys in general. But the flower displays better against the black.
